Calling all witches, wizards, ghouls and goblins.
GlenmoreParkTown Centre is set to treat the community this Halloween.
Glenmore Park Town Centre is set to treat the local community when they celebrate Halloween with an exciting event for children on Friday 31 October 2008.
From 4pm to 5.30pm, local children up to the age of 12 are invited to dress up in their spooky Halloween costumes and go ‘trick or treating’ at Glenmore Park Town Centre. The cost to participate is a $2 donation and all ‘trick or treaters’ are required to register prior to the event either in person at the Centre Management Office or Gloria Jean’s Coffees, or by phone on 4733 3699. Each child who is registered will receive a special ‘trick or treat bag’ and will go into a draw to win either a ‘make your own perfume’ kit for girls or a ‘create your own disgusting science’ kit for boys.
Centre Manager Jackie Common is excited to present an event that local children can enjoy and benefit from: “Not only will this event give local children the chance to celebrate Halloween in a safe environment, but it gives our customers the opportunity to reach out and lend a helping hand by supporting a local charity.”
All funds raised from the registrations will be donated to the Luke Priddis Foundation. This foundation aims to maximise services and opportunities available to Autistic and special needs children.
Shonagh Bennett from the Luke Priddis Foundation believes Glenmore Park Town Centre is a true community supporter: “It is thanks to the generous support of the community that we can continue to help children with special needs. Without the support from events such as this we would not be able to raise much needed funds.”
Combining community, family fun and the spooky spirit of Halloween, Glenmore Park Town Centre will be the place to be this Halloween.
“Many of the retailers are looking forward to decorating their shops and they are ready with all kinds of yummy treats to give to the children when they visit their store”, said Jackie. “We are hoping that lots of children will participate in this event which will not only bring a smile to their face, but to the faces of the special needs children that benefit from the outstanding efforts of the Luke Priddis Foundation.”
